GLOBAL music megastar, Celine Dion, has been announced to perform at the SSE Hydro.
The music icon will be bringing her CELINE DION LIVE 2017 tour to the city where she last sang 21 years ago.
The show will be the only Scotland performance of her 25-date summer tour which has seen record demand since it was announced earlier this year.
Céline said: “It is going to be a special night in Glasgow.
“I have not seen the beautiful sights of the city for over 21 years and cannot wait to celebrate the return with my amazing Scottish fans.”
One of the most successful and widely respected female performers in music history Céline’s return to Glasgow will see her performing to over thirteen thousand fans who have been eagerly waiting for another chance to catch the legendary singer in action.
With the likes of My Heart Will Go On and The Power of Love, her tour will see Celine sing her catalogue of smash hits which have resulted in over 250 million album sales over a 30-year career.
It has been over eight years since Dion has toured the UK and Europe.
In a previous performance in Scotland the artist sang to a crowd of 65,000 fans after selling out the Murrayfield Stadium.
Dion’s music has won her five Grammy Awards, two Academy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 20 Juno Awards in Canada and an astonishing 40 Felix Awards in Quebec.
My Heart Will Go On the theme tune to Titanic counts for one of the Oscars Dion has received.
In 2004, Céline received the Diamond award at the World Music Awards recognising her status as the best-selling female artist of all time.
Tickets for the general public go on sale on April 7.
Members of Team Céline will have access to a pre-sale beginning on 4 April.
