A flock of tiny ducklings were rescued after they fell down a drain.
Along with their mother the nine ducklings were helped to safety after a man riased the alarm to the Scottish SPCA.
The team were alerted on Easter Sunday after they were found trapped down a storm drain in Johnstone.
Inspector Gatherer said, “Luckily the little ducklings were spotted early enough so we could rescue them.
“John O’Brien, the man who found them, was a great help. We worked as a team to catch them with a net.
“The water was flowing in such a way that without his help I wouldn’t have been able to save them.
“We were able to release the lucky ducklings and mother back into the water which made for a lovely Easter.”
Anyone who discovers an injured or distressed wild animal should call the Scottish SPCA animal helpline on 03000 999 999.
