An 18-year-old man is in a critical condition after a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Ayshire.
The driver of the black Huoniao motorcycle was involved in the crash with a Toyota Will VS at 3.25pm on the B730 at its junction with the unclassified road to the A719 near Caldrongill, Craigie.
The car was being driven by a 27-year-old man.
Emergency services rushed to the incident in Symington and the 18-year-old was taken to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment.
He remains in hospital in a critical condition.
Police Scotland road policing officers at Irvine Police station are appealing for witnesses and information following the serious road crash.
Sergeant Kevin Blackley is asking anyone who witnessed the crash, or saw the motorcycle prior to the crash, to contact him and his officers at Irvine police station via 101, quoting reference number 2207 of May 9.
