THE landscapes of Scotland have inspired countless artists and designers over the years. The latest to join that list is Rachel Devine, who has returned to her homeland after a successful 15-year career in London with a beautiful new collection of scarves steeped in the colours and textures of Scotland.

Under the brand name Tir-Dhaimh – which means homeland in Gaelic – Glasgow-based Rachel’s scarves use traditional emblems distilled into modern print designs and fabrics. And though the scarves are certainly luxurious, made from silk and modal, they don’t need to be worn formally. In fact, the abstract designs add a contemporary feel to any weekend or work outfit.

As the product photography highlights, the purples, greens, pinks and slate-greys of Scotland work beautifully together – especially on silk. Each scarf, which costs £85, comes in its own beautiful box, making it the perfect gift.
