A CHARITY which has been a lifeline for East End families continued it 25th anniversary year celebrations by hosting a fun day.

Geeza Break welcomed dozens of children and their families to the Church of Nazarene in Parkhead for the fun day which was held earlier this week.

Kids indulged in a whole host of activities at the fun day.

They were also able to get their faces painted, and try hula hooping and other games.

A magic man, juggler on stilts and princess also entertained the many youngsters who attended.

Chief executive of Geeza Break, Doreen Paterson said the day was a success.

She said: “Everyone who attended had a great time.

“It was great to mark the 25th anniversary with the children who use the service.”

Doreen also thanked everyone who supports the charity and those who attended.

The Evening Times revealed earlier this year that the charity was celebrating its 25th anniversary.

They kicked off their 25th birthday with a special celebration featuring East End girl and patron Elaine C Smith.

Geeza Break provides respite and support services to families in the East End who meet their referral criteria through one-to-one and group support.
