Coronation Street fans in Scotland were left furious after STV aired the England friendly match in favour of the much-loved soap.
The popular soap was set to show a double-bill yesterday but the match against Germany was shown in its place.
Fans of the hit tv show were enraged and took to social media to vent their anger.
Twitter user @johnmcinroe said: "My auld Mum is gutted. No Corrie. What's on SCOTTISH television? A bloody England friendly match! @WeAreSTV, how do you defend this?"
Another user @lyshh_xo added: "Actually fuming there’s no #coronationstreet on tonight because of football, bloody ruined my Friday night that has."
Even English fans were furious at the decision to air an England game instead of the soap.

This is no the first time STV has disappointed in Scotland after their decision to air England's game against Malta instead of Scotland's World Cup 2018 qualifier against Lithuania in September.
Coronation Street will re-commence as usual on STV this Monday.
