One of the hottest girl bands around have expressed their gratitude to a top city hotel for taking care of them as they stopped off in Glasgow for the weekend.

Little Mix were playing the SSE Hydro at the weekend while on the UK leg of their Europe-wide Glory Days tour.

Member Jade Thirlwall posted a video on her Instagram Story showing off two personalised glass Irn-Bru bottles given to her at the Blythswood Square Hotel.

With one reading ‘Jade’ and the other ‘Little Mix’, she wrote: “Always well looked after at @blythswoodsq.”

The four were also spotted enjoying some desserts in Deeserts, Sauchiehall Street.

The restaurant staff were lucky enough to pose for a picture with the stars which they then posted on their Facebook page.

The post said: “A huge shout out to Little Mix. Was great seeing you guys in Deesserts while on tour!!”

The video comes just weeks after TV presenter Caroline Flack posted a brilliant video online of her balancing Tunnock’s Tea Cakes on her face at the same hotel while stopping off in Glasgow.

The Love Island host was in the city for a run in musical Crazy for You at the King’s Theatre in Bath Street.

The 37-year-old revealed how guest relations manager, Claire Daly, left her an unexpected note - along with some of Glasgow’s favourite sweet treats, daring her to goof around.
