DRUGS worth more than £1 million have been seized in Muirhead and Bothwell.
Police from the Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit (East) stopped a car on Cumbernauld Road on Tuesday and recovered amphetamine.
A further operation then took place at an address in Bothwell where diamorphine and mixing agents were found.
The total value of the drugs is said to be £1,100,000.
A 40 year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the recovery. He is expected to appear in court tomorrow.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
