Commuters faced long delays after Storm Caroline wreaked havoc on train lines.

Train services between Neilston and Glasgow Central were cancelled after a trampoline was blown onto the line around 6am.

The piece of garden furniture was spotted close to the Patterton area.

ScotRail staff attended the scene to remove the item before trains were able to resume around 8am.

Residents who live close to railway lines are being urged to secure their garden furniture in bad weather.
