Celtic have completed the signing of centre-back Marvin Compper from German side RB Leipzig on a two-and-a-half year deal.

The 32-year-old, who will be presented to the Celtic support before tonight's game against Partick Thistle, will officially become a Celtic player once the January transfer window opens on New Year's Day.

Compper underwent a medical yesterday ahead of agreeing the move, but he will not be able to compete in the Europa League for Brendan Rodgers's side this season, having already played in European competition for Leipzig this term.
