The season so far

Hibs are enjoying a good to great to occasionally fantastic season. They are top six, have drawn twice with Celtic, won at Ibrox, beat Hearts and played some really attractive football along the way. They also reached the League Cup semi-final.

Neil Lennon may get frustrated with his players at times, in case you hadn't noticed, but they have been a breath of fresh air.

Best player

To the surprise of nobody, John McGinn has been the star man and we shall see if the midfielder stays in Leith beyond this month.

Martin Boyle has also been a revelation on the wing; however, McGinn has proven his many fans right. This lad could be a top, top player.Glasgow Times:

Star signing

Brandon Barker, on loan from Manchester City, hasn't played every minute but he's a talent and the fastest player in the Premiership.

However, Simon Murray's return of 14 goals so far, including strikes against Rangers and Hearts is pretty good for a free transfer.

Biggest disappointment

Hibs are a streaky team and can have an off-day at the office. They have lost twice to Aberdeen, heavily at Pittodrie, and that defence is always capable of a mistake. But these are small matters.

What will the second half of the season bring?

A charge for third place, second could be beyond them, and a place in the Scottish Cup final. Oh, and keep McGinn until May at least.
