A Rangers fan has left fellow supporters in awe after getting a huge tattoo tribute to Gers hero Fernando Ricksen.
Posted online by Hamilton tattoo artist Kirsty, it shows Ricksen in his Rangers glory days, in his kit, with the words “Fighting Spirit” written above, a nod to the ex-midfielder’s 2014 autobiography.

Kirsty captioned the photo “Fernando ricksen” and followed it with the colours red, white, and blue.

Fellow supporters of the Ibrox club were quick to lavish praise on the tatt.
“Wow. Just wow,” said one, as another wrote, “Amazing.”
Another Twitter user described it as “beautiful.”

This week, Ricksen sent his fellow Gers pal Nacho Novo a touching message urging him to “stay strong” after he suffered a heart attack in Berlin.
The Dutchman - who is living with motor neuron disease - told how he “couldn’t believe what happened.”

The 41-year-old revealed in November his health is deteriorating rapidly and that he motor neurone disease will claim his life.
He said: “I know what the outcome will be of this terminal disease, but I’m not going to waste any time or energy worrying about future.

“I’m realistic and know that, at the moment, there is no cure for MND.
“But the outlook hasn’t changed and is still terminal and there are no new treatments at the moment.”
