Monster Alexander Pacteau has two fish in his cell to keep him company - because no-one else wants to talk to him, it has been revealed.

The evil killer of 24-year-old Irish student Karen Buckley has turned to the creatures in the tank as fellow prisoners keep their distance from him.

“He has the fish to keep him company as nobody wants anything to do with him,” said an inside source.

“Nobody talks to him as he’s a weirdo. He just keeps quiet and stays in looking after his fish and playing PS2.

“He loves watching the sharks, feeding them, and cleaning them out. He’s meant to have told one prisoner he got them ‘as they’re deadly like me’,” the source said, reports The Scottish Sun.

Thug Pacteau, 23, was locked up in Lanarkshire’s HM Prison Shotts after being sentenced to 23 years for the brutal killing of Karen in 2015.

Shortly after, he was moved to HMP Kilmarnock where the evil killer reportedly complained fellow cons are urinating in his food.

He brutally murdered Karen after offering her a lift as she left Sanctuary nightclub in Glasgow’s West End.

He battered her with a spanner and strangled her before trying to dissolve her body in caustic soda.

Karen, who was a qualified nurse, had come to Glasgow to further her career.

She originally graduated from the University of Limerick before moving to Essex to work as a nurse.

She came to Scotland because she wanted to “specialise” and obtain a Masters degree at Glasgow Caledonian University.
