A CRUEL vandal smashed an elderly woman's window at her Drumchapel home.
The incident took place at Heathcot Avenue in Drumchapel on Friday, January 12 at 4.35pm.
After breaking the 87-year-old woman's window, police believe that the culprit ran towards the nearby swimming pool at Drumry Road.
Her daughter-in-law Phyllis Cameron posted on social media: "My 87-year-old mother in law who has lived in Drumchapel for most of her life has had her living room window smashed.
"She lives in Heathcot and the police think whoever did it has then run to Drumry Road near the swimming pool.
"If anyone has seen anything or anyone looking suspicious around this time please contact Drumchapel police.
"Lets catch these vermin who terrorise the vulnerable in our society, totally sickened."
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report that at 4.35pm on Friday, January 12 a window was smashed at Heathcot Avenue.
"Enquiries are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
