TRNSMT has announced more big names for the bill after confirming the Arctic Monkeys earlier today.

Picture This, Shed Seven, Friendly Fires, Lewis Capaldi and Hudson Taylor have all been added to the line up.

Picture This will take to the main stage on opening day on June 29 and Shed Seven are joining the Saturday June 30 line up.

Friendly Fires, Lewis Capaldi and Hudson Taylor will join headliners The Killers on the main stage for TRNSMT’s final day, Sunday, July 8.

Returning to TRNSMT after a packed debut slot in 2017, Lewis Capaldi can’t wait to get back to Glasgow Green.

He said: “TRNSMT last year was the first UK festival I ever played and it exceeded all of my expectations.

“To get the opportunity to play a festival of that size so early on has helped me massively and I think it’s amazing that DF have been supporting so many local artists by giving them slots on the bill where that allows them to make the most impact.

“Playing last year was definitely one of my highlights of 2017 and I can’t wait to come back again this year on the main stage.”

It’s more welcome news for music fans, following on from the announcement that Arctic Monkeys will be the fourth headliners for the 2018 fest, on Sunday, July 1.

They’re joining headliners Stereophonics, Liam Gallagher and The Killers - plus another headliner act still to be announced for Friday, July 6.

The Arctic Monkeys will headline TRNSMT 2018.

Geoff Ellis, Head of DF Concerts said: “DF Concerts are thrilled to bring TRNSMT fans Arctic Monkey’s as our opening weekend’s final headliners; we’ve wanted to have them back in Scotland for a while now and can’t wait to see what their set will bring. Sunday 1st July’s line-up is a combination of legends and bright young stars.
