A MAN has been charged after a woman was left fighting for life in hospital after a two car crash in Maryhill.
The crash happened on Saturday, February 3 at around 6.35pm after a Volkswagen Golf hit a parked car in Kelvindale Road.
The 25-year-old woman was a passenger in the Golf, and the 27-year-old male driver was also taken to hospital with a leg injury.
He has since been released.
At the time of the incident, the parked car was empty.
The man has since been arrested and charged with road traffic offences.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “At around 6.35pm on Saturday, a Volkswagen Golf car hit a parked Ford Focus car in Kelvindale Road near to the junction with Balfour Street.
“The 25-year-old female passenger in the Volkswagen Golf and the 27-year-old male driver of the Golf were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
“The driver was treated for a leg injury before being released. The passenger is still in hospital and staff describe her condition as critical.
“There was no-one within the parked car at the time.
“A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged with road traffic offences.”
