IF you’ve always dreamed of travelling as a job, look no further as a popular travel agent launches a recruitment drive.
Barrhead Travel is urged people in Glasgow who want to travel to the farthest-flung destinations in the world to join their team.
In recent years, over 500 members of staff at have taken the trip of a lifetime as part of their day-to-day work, with more of these opportunities on offer for the right candidates.
Employees have been sent to resorts in Mauritius and Jamaica, cruise ships up the Alaska coast and visited destinations from Durban to Tokyo.
Globetrotting is required of many of the travel agent’s staff members as part of ongoing training to enhance their destination and product knowledge.

Sharon Munro, CEO of Barrhead Travel, described how familiarisation trips are an “integral part” of developing the expert knowledge and advice the team provides its customers with.
She added: “Our staff return with amazing stories of their adventures and share their first-hand experiences with their colleagues and customers.
“This is another reason why we continue to expand our branch network.
“People who join our family of sales people and work hard can get a chance to make travel a core part of the job.”
