A WOMAN who was nearly dragged into a park by a man who followed her has warned others to be careful.

Demi Webster said she was walking near Queen's Park, on Glasgow's South Side, when she became aware of a man following her.

The man caught up with her and asked if she would walk through the park with him.

When she said no and kept walking, the man grabbed the hood of her jacket and, she claims, tried to pull her into the park.

Police Scotland confirmed officers had been made aware of the incident on Sunday, March 25 shortly before midnight.

Demi took to Facebook to share her ordeal and added that she hurt her arm and scraped her knee as she fell over.

She added: "I don’t want sympathy or anything of the sort.

"I just want more girls to take more caution when walking around areas like these.

"I can walk around Possil and Milton all day at anytime and feel safe but I can assure you I won’t be going out after dark anymore.

"Please share to let other young girls know."

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received an initial report from a woman regarding an incident in Queens Park near to midnight on Sunday, March 25 2018.

"Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances."
