A GLASGOW to London train struck a person in the city's South Side on Saturday.
Transport cops and emergency services rushed to the scene of the tragic incident at Queens Park Station before 10am.
The incident is being treated as not suspicious.
An eyewitnesses told The Evening Times that he saw a man being treated at the scene before he was taken away in an ambulance.
A British Transport Police said: "British Transport Police officers were called to the line at Queens Park Station, Glasgow on Saturday, April 7 after a report that a person had been struck by a train.
"Officers from the British Transport Police and Police Scotland attended the incident, which was reported to British Transport Police at 9.48am and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
"Medics from the Scottish Ambulance Service also attended, and treated the subject at the scene.
"Officers are currently working to establish the identity of the person, and inform their next of kin.
"The train involved was a Glasgow Central to London Euston service."
Scotrail warned commuters to expect delays in the area due to the incident.
