A TEEN has been left with life-changing injuries after he was electrocuted near a railway line.
Transport cops rushed to the scene at Stevenston railway station in Ayrshire on Saturday at around 7am.
It is understood that the 19-year-old came into contact with the overhead power lines at the railway station.
The Evening Times also understands that he has been left with severe burns.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Officers were called to an incident at 7am on Saturday, April 14 after reports that a man had come into contact with the overhead power lines close to Stevenston railway station.
"Paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service also attended and a 19-year-old man was taken to hospital in a serious condition. The man remains in hospital with injuries considered to be life-changing.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
