DOZENS of trains have been cancelled or delayed after a signalling fault at Glasgow Central Station plunged the city into travel chaos.

ScotRail alerted customers a fault had been reported between Glasgow Central and Paisley Gilmour Street, with disruption expected to last until 7pm.

Services to Ayr, Ardrossan Harbour, Largs, Paisley Canal, Gourock, Wemyss Bay and Paisley Gilmour Street have been delayed, revised or cancelled.

First Bus are accepting tickets on certain services while Network Rail work to resolve the issue.

The train firm apologised for the issue and urged users to keep up to date with the latest travel updates via their website.
