FRIENDS and family have paid poignant tribute to murdered Kriss Donald on what would have been his 30th birthday.
At the memorial marking Kriss's life, balloons and flowers have been left in commemoration of a milestone date.
The 15-year-old, from Pollokshields, was abducted, stabbed repeatedly and then doused in petrol and burned to death by five men of Pakistani descent in March 2004, apparently in revenge for an earlier incident at a city centre nightclub.
Kriss should have celebrated his 30th birthday on July 2.
Balloons and yellow and red roses were tied to a memorial plaque for the young man in Pollokshields.
Lord Uist, who presided over the trial of his killers, told the men their "pre-meditated, cold-blooded execution ... truly was an abomination".
Kriss was abducted from Kenmure Street and his body found on the Clyde Walkway in Glasgow's East End.
