A SUPPORT group for mums suffering from post-natal depression has been handed a cash boost by an East Renfrewshire shopping mall.
A grant of £250 has been made from The Avenue Community Fund to Glasgow South PANDAS.
The cash will be used to help mums and their families speak with others in the same situation in the communities of South Glasgow and East Renfrewshire.
Michelle McCabe, centre manager at The Avenue, in Newton Mearns, has hailed the work being done by the support group.
She said: “As an integral part of our community, we want to support local families and this new group is such a worthwhile cause to get people talking and to remove the stigma surrounding mental health, including post-natal depression.”
The Avenue launched its Community Fund in February last year.
Any worthy cause in the local area that would like to apply for a £250 grant ahead of the next round of funding should go online at www.avenueshopping.co.uk.
