HOLLYWOOD superstar Will Smith has chosen his soccer side - after he was filmed giving an unexpected shout out to Motherwell FC.

The video message was for steelmen supporter Dylan Buchanan, whose dad Stuart arranged it.

Glasgow Times:

Speaking to the camera, the Hollywood actor says: “What up Dylan? I’m just saying hey man.

“We’re down here, we’re hanging out. I understand you support Motherwell, it’s Motherwell right?

“Congrats, you be good. Take care of yourself. Hope to meet you soon.”

The Lanarkshire club's social media team uploaded the clip to their Twitter and said: “Yeah last minute goals are cool but have you heard Will Smith’s shoutout for Motherwell?

“Will Smith surprised young ‘Well fan Dylan Buchanan, thanks to dad Stuart. Both are season ticket holders at Fir Park.”

The actor, 49, is best known for his roles in The French Prince of Bel-Air and movies Ali, Indepedence Day and The Pursuit of Happiness.

The moment has delighted fans who took to social media after watching the clip.

One joked: "The Fresh Prince of Bellshill".

Another added: "I don't know why this exists but it's awesome!"
