A South Side eatery is closing its doors after three years.

Christopher Robin, which is based in Nithsdale Road, told customers on social media of their plans to close.

In a post, the firm said: "It is with a very, very heavy heart that we regret to announce that the next few days will be Christopher Robin's last.

"We would like to thank each and every customer for all your support over the last three (and a bit) years. You have made this venture far less arduous, and much more enjoyable.

"It would be lovely to see everyone one last time before we close our doors."

The firm described themselves as a cafe bistro committed to using local, seasonal and ethically sourced ingredients.

The news disappointed fans of the eatery.

One said: "So very, very sorry to read of your closing - your veggie breakfast is very, very good. Wishing you all the very best for the future."

Another added: "Very, very sorry to read this. You've always been a very welcoming and friendly establishment with great staff and I know someone who will be devastated not to get their tomato breakfast and puzzle fix in the mornings! Very best wishes to you both for the future and thank you for the great food since you opened."
