Hearts mad TV presenter Ewen Cameron has expressed fears that his son may have turned to the 'green' side.

The sports pundit took to Twitter to reveal that his son Josh had asked his mum if he could have a Celtic strip whilst out shopping.

He received a picture from his wife of the young boy holding up the Hoops jersey with a hopeful look on his face.

The DJ joked that he had 'failed as a father' and 'let Hearts down'.

He wrote: "FAMILY CRISIS: My wife just sent me this picture of my son....who wants this football strip His look is saying ‘Can I get it Dad?’

"The look on my face is saying ‘I’ve failed as a father and I’ve let Hearts down’ PS: He better not come home with it."

The post has been flooded with comments, some advising that the youngster may be beyond help.

One follower wrote: "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo And if he does come home with it, divorce the Mrs straight away and take the kids."

To which Ewen replied: "Mate, the hurt is real. If he walks through the door with that strip I will have failed him."

Another teased: "Your son clearly has better taste than you."

Ewen joked: "Mate, I’m considering changing the locks."

The 45-year-old has previously come under fire from trolls who dubbed him a secret Rangers fan after he headed to Ibrox for the unveiling of Steven Gerrard, with fans claiming that he seemed suspiciously excited about the Liverpool legend’s arrival.

The accusations which included comments about 'his disguise slipping' were also prompted by a video of the STV broadcaster enjoying the celebrations with Light Blues fans.

Just days later, he was caught blue-handed with a Rangers megastore bag on his desk at work and holding a piece of paper headed with the Rangers fan group Club 1872 logo.
