A pair of balaclava thugs are being hunted by police after robbing a supermarket in Knightswood.

The two men entered Farmfoods on Anniesland Road around 6.35pm on Wednesday and threatened two male members of staff with weapons.

They demanded money before running off with a three-figure sum of money in the direction of Crescent Road.

Staff were left uninjured but very frightened by the whole ordeal.

The first suspect is described as white, around 5ft 8 inches in height and of slim build and in his mid 20s.

He was wearing a black hooded zipped top, black tracksuit trousers and black trainers and his face was covered by a black balaclava.

The second suspect is described as white, around 5ft 9 inches in height and of slim build and in his mid 20s.

He was wearing a black hooded top with a white t-shirt underneath.

He was also wearing black jogging trousers and black trainers. His face with covered by a black balaclava and carrying a black rucksack.

Constable Lee McIntyre from the Community Investigation Unit at Govan Police Office said: “Luckily the two staff members were uninjured, but this was still very frightening for them, and the two men responsible need to be caught as soon as possible.

“At the time of the robbery, the area would have been very busy and I would like to appeal to anyone who witnesses this robbery, or who saw these two men to come forward, as they may have information that is vital to this investigation.
