A man was robbed and attacked near Glasgow Airport by two men who took his phone and passport. 

At around 7am on Sunday morning, the 22-year-old man was walking between New Sneddon Street and Inchinnan Road towards Glasgow Airport when he was stopped by two men who demanded he give them his phone and passport. 

They then lashed out at the victim causing him a serious hand injury before running off. 

Police were alerted and took the man to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he received treatment for his injury. 

The first suspect is described as white, 25-30 year old, 5ft 11, slim build, dark brown hair and clean shaven. He was wearing dark blue tight jeans, brown suede brogue shoes and a dark T-shirt.

The second is described as white, 25-30 years, 5ft 11 and clean shaven wearing black slim fit jeans and a bubble jacket.

Detective Constable Stevie Craig at Paisley CID said:

“This would appear to be a totally unprovoked attack on a young man who had been attending a function nearby.

“I’d like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity on Inchinnan Road and may have witnessed this incident, or anyone who may have seen the suspects either before or afterwards.

“I’d like to ask any passing motorists at this time to check their dash cam footage as they may have captured the suspects on camera.”
