Global superstar Shania Twain has definitely left her mark on the city after she blew fans away at both her Hydro gigs this week.

So it was only fair that we return the favour by giving the award-winning artist a 'proper' send-off.

The 53-year-old was met by a Scottish piper in traditional dress who played her on to the plane as she jetted off for the next leg of her European tour.

Shania was the one blown away this time as she tweeted a picture of the send-off to her millions of fans.

She wrote: "A proper send off," next to a Scotland flag emoji.

One fan commented: "Absolutely fantastic night at the @TheSSEHydro last night!!...You were bloody AMAZING!!...safe travels and come back soon!!"

Whilst in town Shania was spotted at popular chicken joint Buck's Bar, where the staff were blown away by her appearance at the American Style eatery.

The Man I Feel Like a Woman singer will perform in Manchester this evening before heading to Birmingham on Monday.
