COPS in the city’s East End have not ruled out a link between two murder bids in Tollcross.

The force said they are considering several lines of enquiry after two attempted murders in the area - three days apart.

A knife thug in a red hooded robe chased and slashed a man during the first violent attack which happened on Saturday, September 15.

The victim, 25, was walking along Dalness Street, near to Ard Street when he was chased and attacked by another man with a knife.

Cops said the suspect was dressed unusually, in a red hooded robe with white lining – and they likened the clothing to that of a bathrobe.

Three days later, two masked gunmen blasted a man in the head with a gun.

The men got out of a black coloured car and entered a property in Cuthelton Terrace, where they shot a 38-year-old man in the head.

The force also said that they dealt with a road crash 20 minutes after the shooting las Tuesday. The Evening Times understands that a car crashed in Selby Gardens, Mount Vernon and a man was taken to hospital afterwards.
