WATER has been restored to Glasgow homes after thousands awoke to no H2O early this morning.
Scottish Water has said its engineers rectified the issue which affected properties in parts of Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire after a valve fault.
Several thousand properties in parts of the north west and south of the city - and the Bearsden and Milngavie areas - experienced a loss of normal water supply, low water pressure or discoloured water from around 7am.
The issue with the valve occurred in Milngavie.
Residents who experience discoloured water after the restoration of supplies should run the cold water tap in their kitchen gently until the water runs clear.
Scottish Water said: “We apologise for any inconvenience to affected customers and thank them for their patience and understanding.”
