POLICE have sprung into action after receiving reports of a man with a gun in Pollokshields.
The alarm was raised just before midnight, said Police Scotland.
The force’s cops raced to the scene on Forth Street, but found no trace of the man or weapon.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “At around 11.55pm last night, police were called to a report of a man seen in possession of what appeared to be a firearm in Forth Street, Glasgow.
“Officers attended and carried out a full search of the area. However, there was no trace.
“Further enquiries are being carried out to establish more information on the sighting.”
