A MAN is set to appear in court after a late-night alleged murder bid in Partick last night.
The incident took place near an optician on Dumbarton Road, close to the area’s train station.

The road was closed to all traffic at Peel Street from around 10pm as police and paramedics rushed to the scene. Road users had been advised to consider using alternate routes.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “A 21-year-old man has been arrested and will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today in connection with the alleged attempted murder of a 47-year-old man on Dumbarton Road on Wednesday, September 26.”
