US comedy star Chris Tucker showed his knowledge of Scotland is a lot to be desired for after calling our national traditional dress - a quilt.

The Rush Hour actor performed his first stand-up show in the city's Clyde Auditorium on Saturday night where he spoke of his desire to wear a 'quilt'.

He was, however, quickly corrected by the audience and chuckled to himself after realising he was mispronouncing the term kilt.

Chris also attempted a Scottish accent very badly - and an audience member called him out on it on the social media website Twitter.

The actor, however, proved a hit with the audience as he spoke of his friendship with Michael Jackson, the US president Donald Trump and his love life.

Tucker, 47, is best known for his roles in films The Fifth Element, Rush Hour, Money Talks and Silver Linings Playbook.
