US diner Denny's have made formal steps to take over a former Toby Carvery near Glasgow.
A building warrant application was submitted to Renfrewshire Council on September 25 by Denny's Diners Scotland Ltd. They have signalled interest in the property on 5 Braille Crescent in Braehead, Renfrew.
The popular restaurant chain has remained tight-lipped about their new location but these formal steps could mean, Denny's will be located just outside the city.
They previously teased they were opening up in Glasgow with famous views of the city in the background of their social media campaign.
Glasgow Fort was one of the names at the top of the location list for the chain's venture into the Scottish market.
The American diner specialises in burgers, pancakes and milkshakes, and have already began hiring for their new Scottish restaurant.
Team members and hosts as well as cook positions have appeared on a popular job search website.
The advert said: "If you think you have what it takes to be part of America's favourite diner brand then we would love to hear from you. Successful applicants will join the team of our very first restaurant in Scotland!"
