A POPULAR Kilsyth restaurant has announced its sudden closure.
The Boathouse told fans on social media that it had ceased trading today after 10 years.
The eatery based in Auchinstarry Marina provided no further details as to why they were closing.
A statement said: "It is with great sadness that we have to inform you The Boathouse ceased trading today. Myself and the team are devastated.
Thank you for your custom over the last 10 years."
Shocked fans of the restaurant took to social media to express their sadness over the news.
Derek McCann said: "Love this wee place. Legend's night was the best. Will be a safe loss to the community. Cheers to you all and good luck."
John McDonald added: "It’s a great loss to the community, wish the staff who always gave first class service every good wishes, and thank you for wonderful evenings."
