POLICE believe the body of a man found on the M74, near Larkhall, is that of a 38 year-old man from the town.
Formal identification is yet to take place. However, the family of the man has been informed.
Officers are not treating the death as suspicious.
The Evening Times previously reported how, at around 11pm on Sunday, a number of calls were received regarding a body lying on the southbound carriageway of the M74 under a footbridge, near a matrix sign, around one-and-a half-miles south of junction 7, Larkhall.
Officers attended and enquiries were carried out at the scene.
Sergeant Stuart Bell, of the Motherwell Road Policing, said: “We would like to thank the public for their help following our appeal.”
