EX-CELTIC goalkeeper Logan Bailly appears to have met his son for the first time - after receiving a blacklash on social media from former partner Libby Smith.

The Belgian footballer, 32, shared several images of his son Edson on the social media website Instagram during a visit to the city yesterday.

Glasgow Times:

Logan had the child with ex-Rangers' legend Gordon Smith's daughter Libby.

Libby previously spoke of her heartache on Father's Day that Logan had not made attempts to see the child.

Glasgow Times:

The pair got together last year and announced the birth of their first child at New Year.

Logan joined Royal Excel Mouscron from Celtic last summer and the couple moved to Belgium.

The 6ft 3 inches keeper is already father to daughter Destiny, 12, and Prince, 7.

Libby however, came back to Glasgow for medical reasons and since then she said she had not seen Logan.

This week, she hit out on social media after spotting her former partner attending a football match in Manchester.

She said: "I'm happy to reveal after months of waiting Edson's father finally made an effort to come to the UK and met somebody very important last night."

The Zumba instructor then shared an image of Logan with footballer Marouane Fellaini. The pair met up as Logan flew into watch Fellaini's side Manchester United.

She added: "Thankfully my son is too young to understand his 'father' decided flying over on a one hour flight for a football match was more of a priority than coming to meet him for the first time.

"My reaction to him was not very dignified. My son deserves better and we will continue to thrive without him."

Logan, however, has shared a series of images of his son on social media in and around Glasgow.

Glasgow Times:

Libby, who is originally from Newton Mearns, was thrown into the spotlight when she auditioned for the X Factor in 2009 with girl band Accent.

Her father Gordon, who is the daughter of ex-player and director of football, named his grandson after footballer Pele.
