RANGERS have announced that Barry Scott has returned to the Ibrox board.

The businessman stepped down from the Light Blues’ top table in May this year and his departure coincided with the exit of Paul Murray.

Scott was allotted 8,645,000 shares in the recent rights issue and will now take a seat alongside Dave King, Alasdair Johnston, John Bennett, Douglas Park, Graeme Park and Julian Wolhardt at Ibrox.

A statement read: “Rangers International Football Club PLC is pleased to announce that Barry Scott is rejoining its Board of Directors.

“Barry left the Board for a short time earlier this year in order to attend to other business affairs and the Board is delighted that he is now able to offer his services again and contribute to the continued success of the Company.”
