WEST DUNBARTONSHIRE cops have urged the public to attend this year's organised fireworks displays instead of doing their own.
Revellers will head to Levengrove Park in Dumbarton on Monday, November 5 and Dalmuir Park the following day.
Both events will run from 7pm to 9pm. Cops said the displays will start at 7.30pm.
The force said: "If you are looking to enjoy fireworks this year why not go to a safe, organised public display?
"You’ll save money on buying fireworks and you’ll see a much more spectacular display.
"The period around November 5 is traditionally one of the busiest for our Fire Service.
"Scotland need’s its firefighters for real emergencies. Attending bonfires can cost life saving minutes getting to a house fire."
