A GLASGOW charity has pleaded with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to attend its rally after it was forced to move the location due to filming for his new Fast and Furious film.

Who Cares? Scotland had planned to host its first ever Care Experienced Week for young on October 22 to October 28, with a Rally for Love due to take place through city centre streets on October 26.

However, they were forced to move the location of the event to St Enoch Square as filming the former wrestler and pal Jason Statham take over the city for filming of their new spin off Hobbs and Shaw.

Kenneth Murray took to Twitter to plead with the A-lister to "make it up" to the young people supported by the charity by popping along to the event.

He said: "Hi @TheRock I work with @whocaresscot and we organised a LOVE RALLY for people who have experienced the care system, in Scotland, on the 26th of October.

"We've had to move the location though, because you're filming. If you could make it up to us and join us...it'd be cool."

In a later tweet, Kenneth posted a screenshot of a notification confirming the event's location had been changed accompanied with a sad face.

As previously reported by the Evening Times, the Hollywood duo are expected to take over Glasgow streets later this month to film their new movie.

The Rock has yet to respond to Kenneth's request but we're hoping this charity event might have a famous guest, or two, crop up at their event.
