SCOTLAND'S theme park is getting into the spooky spirit with its frighteningly fun Halloween activities.

This month, M&D's packed schedule of events will take over the popular day-out destination.

The Halloween Drive-In Movies, which are shown on Europe’s largest outdoor screen, is back for its 10th year with an exciting range of horror movies including cult classic, The Lost Boys, Stanley Kubrick’s critically acclaimed, The Shining as well as family favourite, Hotel Transylvania 2 from October 26 to 28.

While Outbreak, the park's terrifying scare-fest, has also returned with Night Terror: Dream Decay.

It will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as Thursday October 11, 18 and 25, finishing on Halloween.

After last year’s launch of Darktober, fear-followers will again have the chance to take a ride on even more of the park’s rides in the dark from 6pm as part of the Night Terror experience.

Krazy Congo soft play and Cosmic Bowl will be holding Halloween parties for the little ones, with prizes for the best dressed boy and girl, a buffet, face painting and goody bags for all guests.

New for this year is the Pumpkin Festival which includes a hay maze, vintage style Halloween themed games, spooky storytelling and themed food and hot drinks.

Matthew Taylor, managing director of M&D’s Theme Park, said: “Halloween is one of our favourite times of the year, and we’ve definitely ramped up our superb offering this year.
