ANDY ROSE has revealed that Motherwell have a famous fan in his father-in-law, legendary American coach Bob Bradley.

The midfielder is married to Bradley's daughter, Ryan, and has become an avid follower of the Steelmen from his Los Angeles base since Rose moved to Lanarkshire from Coventry City last summer.

And Rose is hoping that he can continue to improve his own game with Bradley's input.

“He’s made it so far in the game in a very difficult profession, so I have an awful lot of respect for him," said Rose.

“He’s doing a fantastic job back in MLS now [with Los Angeles FC]. Obviously he had a great European adventure and now he’s back in the States.

“It’s fun to support his teams and I know he’s also a Motherwell fan now, and hopefully our form can improve and everyone will be happy.

“It’s great to have that soundboard and somebody like that to discuss the game with.

“I love talking about football with anyone, and he’s an incredibly knowledgeable person when it comes to football.

“We certainly discuss different moments in games, different ways we can be better as a team and what he’s seen from afar.

“He also gives pointers on how I can be better as a player, and that’s important.

“Any chance you get to learn from someone of that stature it’s great.”

While Bradley is happy to lend his support to Motherwell from afar, Rose isn't convinced the 60-year-old would be throwing his hat in the ring should Stephen Robinson ever move on from Fir Park.

“I’m not sure!" he said. "I know he’s got a pretty cushy job out there at the moment and he’s enjoying it.

“They’re flying so I’m really pleased for him.”
