A store which specialises in kilts has made moves to take over a unit in Glasgow city centre.
Slanj Scotland, who claim their brand has been worn by celebrities, have asked Glasgow City Council for permission to display their signage on an empty unit in Bath Street. The unit was previously used by an estate agent.
The application for planning permission to display the signs on a listed building was submitted to the local authority this week.
A statement in the planning application said: "Feedback is that the building is perfectly suitable for our intended use. We just need advertising consent for our signage and listed building consent."
Slanj Scotland was launched in 1996 by brothers Brian and Craig Halley.
The brand has stores in Glasgow's St Vincent Street and Edinburgh's St Mary's Street.
It is not known if these plans will mean a second city store or if it the new shop will replace the existing one.
A decision is expected on the plans by December 7.
