A WOMAN was rushed to hospital with a head injury after an alleged city centre assault.

The alarm was raised outside William Hill on Argyle Street around 10.55pm last night.

The victim was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where she was treated for her injuries.

Another woman was arrested in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a woman being assaulted by another woman on Arygle Street.

"The victim was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to a head injury.
