IT'S beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Glasgow City Council workers were hurriedly preparing for the holidays today, as the first batch of lights and decorations were put up in George Square.
Excited fans flocked to social media to share their thoughts on the square's annual transformation into a winter wonderland.
One wrote: "Omg the George Square Christmas lights are going up. Exciting."
Another added: "George Square Christmas lights are going up already. It was summer about five minutes ago."

While one said: "Can't believe the Christmas lights are being put up in George Square already."
Glasgow's Chamber of Commerce took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the event, stating: "Despite the sunshine here in #Glasgow Christmas is coming."
And, while some joked it was a little too soon for festive fun, the annual Glasgow Loves Christmas switch on event is just over a month away on November 18.
Those keen to see if they were successful in the popular ballot drop will find out on October 24.
