Scotland’s Traffic Commissioner described Ian Sharp's licence as “rotten” from the start when it banned him from operating the firm.
Joan Aitken said Mr Sharp lied to a government enforcement official and then in his initial evidence before her.

She added that Mr Sharp had displayed ignorance of the standards and duties required for someone operating vehicles, by failing to supervise his transport manager and infringements which had been committed by drivers.
Ms Aitken said: “By his low standards and lack of knowledge, [Mr Sharp] has exposed others to risk. My view is that [he] should find a very different line of work and excuse himself from passenger transport.”

The Traffic Commissioner also took action against transport manager, Robert Quigley.
Ms Aitken was disqualified him from acting in that role for life after learning that the arrangement to act as a transport manager was a “sham”.
