VEGAN activists will take to Glasgow streets this weekend to highlight the "dark side of dairy".
Viva! reveal its undercover investigation into the industry in a bid to showcase the dangers it presents to cows.
Laura Hellwig, a Viva! campaigner, said:“Many people never see the darker side of the dairy industry. Dairy cows carry their babies for nine months – just like humans – but then have their calves taken away from them just hours after birth.
"It is so important that we share this information with the public and give them the opportunity to learn the truth behind the dairy industry. "
The group also claim male calves are shot in the head as they're considered a "useless by-product".
Activists will gather in Sauchiehall Street from 11am to 2pm.
