GLASGOW’S West End is set for a new eatery - and bosses are promising to cater to carnivores, pescatarians, vegans and vegetarians.

Roosevelts Bar and Kitchen will be throwing open its doors in Woodlands after a VIP launch party tonight.

Formerly an independently run branch of the TriBeCa Group, owners – brothers Scott and Graeme McLean – are aiming to combine delicious American food with the best Scottish produce, all mixed in with that friendly service Glasgow is famous for.

Bosses have promised diners that the menu has been crafted with the best local ingredients - and will “pack a punch.”

Burgers, melt-in-the-mouth steaks, all-day brunches and hearty mains will be on offer, along with a varied drinks menu, including cocktails, Scottish craft beers and refreshing American sodas.

Local vegan blogger Adele, a.k.a. Vegan Burd, accepted a challenge in the run up to the big opening to create a selection of vegan dishes, especially for Roosevelts, including “the towering fricken burger,” more of which will be revealed tonight.

Co-owner Scott described how he and his brother are “really excited” about the new venue. He added: “It’s something Graeme and I have always wanted to do, bringing the best local produce and drinks to our customers.”

The venue is currently open for business during the transition from TriBeCa to Roosevelts, serving food and drinks. They’re also offering customers 10 per cent off the full bill, including drinks, until today.

TriBeca was recently bought over with plans to expand Scotland-wide.
