THE people of Glasgow have backed top chef Nigella Lawson's praise of city chippy Blue Lagoon.
The TV chef popped into the eatery's Gordon Street branch last month and declared their "exquisitely vinegary" chips the "best".
Yesterday, the Evening Times followed in the famous 58-year-old's footsteps to sample some of the delights for ourselves and caught up with other chippy fans.
Student Hannah Ryan told us a sausage supper from the chain restaurant was the "perfect comfort food".
She said: "It's really tasty, although everyone knows it's not good for you.
"If I ever have a crazy week, this is where I come - it's feel good food."
While Jennifer and James Risk couldn't resist popping in for a nibble while heading for a train at Glasgow Central.
Jennifer said: "It's right next to the station so it's really handy.
"This is probably the only chippy I'd come to in town."
